My journey into professional IT/ICT support services starts back in 2003. Being a fresh graduate with a degree in Computer Science, it occurred to me that having the technical skill and knowledge is of no value, unless I am able to communicate effectively to my client to establish how I can be of service to them.
My mission is to actually provide a service. One that is flexible, responsive and appropriate for each unique business and even individuals. I build a business relationship with each of my clients because it shows my clients that I am invested in them as they are invested in me.
Since 2003 I have seen the IT/ICT landscape change dramatically. Companies large and small invested a good portion of their capital into their IT infrastructure in the form of relatively large proprietary systems and servers. Many of the services such as email and shared files were serviced by this infrastructure and weren’t very accessible outside of the local network.
As the Internet matured and evolved to allow more and more everyday tasks to be completed with ease it also allows easier access to business resources. Cloud services are now the norm for small businesses and gone are the days of large in-house servers for small businesses.
